Seidagasa (a word of African origin, whose meaning is something similar to "the shit in the dog's ear") is an experimental project. It arises from a joint idea of Jose María Pastor (drums and percussionist) and Enrique Simón where to carry out an "open" training to develop the idea of free improvisation and experimentation in the musical field. The duo began their journey in January 2012 with the intention of generating self-managed and self-produced works collaborating with different musicians / artists of any discipline.
Over the years, they have created 6 albums and many hours of interesting musical creation. Let's see his route:
SOLO PARA LOCOS VOL. 1, 2 Y 3
With this trilogy this project is released, which records the 3 volumes in February, May and October 2012 respectively. Vol 1 is a duet with Jose María and Enrique, Vol 2 is a duet with Jose María and guitarist Juan Pablo Zaragoza, and Vol 3 is a quartet with Jose María and Enrique as well as Juan Pablo Zaragoza and Rubén Medrano.
LAS MALDITAS ÓRDENES DEL CORONEL (Seidagasa + Niño de Elche)
A year later, 2013, Seidagasa collaborates with the artist Niño de Elche. This production combines the vocal mastery of Paco with the instrumental skills of the Duo. The result is absolutely devastating. What happened during the recording of this album cannot be conveyed in words. Only careful listening can bring the listener closer to the closest thing to a mystical session.
A CHAOS SUPREME - Seidagasa + J.L. Galiana)
Paying homage to the great John Coltrane, with this title Seidagasa collaborates with the Valencian saxophonist Josep Lluis Galiana. A risky and high-voltage work. Only for the most adventurous in the field of Free Jazz.
